Collection Dev Project

While in graduate school, I had taken a course on Collection Development. I got a lot out of this course and would recommend it to anyone considering library or information work. Although it was very focused on traditional brick-and-mortar libraries (public, academic, school), the concepts will absolutely translate to other types of information work in a wide variety of settings (like my job in what could be considered a "special" library).

As part of that course, we ended up creating a rather detailed project that covers various parts of the collection development process. While I earned a good grade on my project, it has flaws. I'm still going to include a link to it below because I am proud of the work I put into it and maybe someone will get something out of it.

Collection Development Project - Fall 2013

*Sidenote: I was in the middle of my pregnancy during the semester I had taken this course and ended up having to skip the last class meeting because I was in the hospital having the baby prematurely. ;) Please keep an open mind and remember "pregnancy brain" when reading my project!
